10. Arsenal vs Inter Milan(5-1)

Not often will a single match that isn’t a title-winning match feature in a top-10 greatest moments list, but for Arsenal, they feel that their thumping of Inter Milan back in 2003 is worthy of just making it into the top 10.With their Champions League future on the line, Arsenal had to go to San Siro and pick up three points  - and, emphatically, they won 5-1 which was Inter’s worst home defeat for 47 years.Goals from Freddie Ljungberg, Edu, Robert Pires and a Thierry Henry brace guided Arsenal to one of their biggest victories in European football. 

9. Thierry Henry becomes all-time Arsenal top goalscorer

Henry  arrived to Arsenal in the summer of 1999 as a left-winger, he left as the club’s all-time top goalscorers and one of the best strikers to ever embrace Premier League football.After Ian Wright became the club’s top-goalscorer in 1997, many thought his tally would never be matched, but just eight years down the line, a Thierry Henry brace against Sparta Prague, saw him surpass Wright’s record.His second goal of the night took him to 186 goals and it only took him 303 appearances to do so.

8. Moving to the Emirates Stadium

In 1999, the football club first announced plans to leave Highbury in order to move to a stadium double the size. By 2004, building of the Emirates Stadium was underway and in 2006 they finally inalized their move from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium.A sad departure from an epic stadium which will always hold great memories, but it was the right move for the club as it brought in a lot more money and a lot more fans.Now playing their beautiful game in a beautiful state-of-the-art stadium in front of 60,000.

7. Arsenal beat Real Madrid in the Bernabeu

Another epic Champions League night and another one that makes it’s way into the top-10 greatest moments.A solo Thierry Henry goal was enough to see off Madrid 1-0 on the night and it made Arsenal the first ever English team to beat Madrid in their own back-yard. The 1-0 victory was followed by a 0-0 draw at Highbury and it was the start of a great Champions League run that unfortunately saw them lose in the final to Barcelona in Paris.

6. Wiltord’s goal v Manchester United secures double

Winning the league at Old Trafford and also securing the double. Easily a moment that deserves to be in the top 10 and it makes it at entry number six.Arsenal have previously beaten Chelsea 2-0 in the FA Cup final thanks to goals from Ljungberg and Ray Parlour and after winning their final 13 matches in the Premier League, the Sylvain Wiltord goal at Old Trafford was the goal that clinched the Premier League title.

5. Arsenal’s first double

It was 1971, and the days before Arsene Wenger, when Arsenal secured the double of winning the Premier League and the FA Cup, something that was hardly every done back then.Bertie Mee was the manager at the time and after securing the title, they then went on to win the FA Cup by beating Liverpool at the old Wembley.

4. The arrival of Arsene Wenger

You wouldn’t have been the only one if you didn’t know who Wenger was when he signed on as the manager at Higbury, but you would be foolish if you didn’t know him by now.After bringing in so many great footballers for Arsenal and developing some youngsters into top-class players, Wenger will always go down as a legend at Arsenal.The Frenchman has won four FA Cups, four Charity Shields and three Premier League titles at Arsenal and is currently the most successful manager the club has ever had.

3. Clinched the Title at White Hart Lane

Winning the league at Old Trafford can only be beaten by one thing amongst Arsenal fans and that is winning the league at White Hart Lane, something the club achieved in 2004.Going into the games, Arsenal only needed a point to be crowned Premier League champions and a point is what they got after a thrilling 2-2 draw.                      Goals from Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires were later cancelled out by Jamie Redknapp and Robbie Keane, but the point was enough to crown them as champions and gave them the opportunity to celebrate a trophy win on their rival’s own ground.

 Arsenal went into the game at Anfield against Liverpool knowing they had to win by two goals to be crowned Premier League champions and no-one believed it could be done, but George Graham’s men proved every one wrong.

Seven minutes into the second-half Alan Smith gave the Gunners a 1-0 lead; however, this was not enough for the trophy to come back to Highbury, they had to get another and with just minutes left on the clock, they found another.After a fortunate bounce, Michael Thomas was put through one-on-one and the player did the rest by poking home, to give Arsenal their first league title in 18-years.

1. Arsenal unbeaten run under Arsene Wenger

Arsenal Played 49, won 36, drawn 13, lost 0. Between May 2003 and October 2004, the Arsenal side broke records in world football and toppled Nottingham Forest's previous unbeaten record.The first win of the run came after they lost out on the Premier League title, but they didn't let it show as they thrashed Southampton 6-1 on May 7 2003.Their closest shave to losing the streak was when they travelled to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, but a last-minute penalty by Ruud van Nistelrooy was smashed against the bar, and the game ended in a goalless draw, after that near-miss, the rest was easy, or at least, they made it look easy.They won the title that season at White Hart Lane after drawing 2-2 and then all they had to do was avoid defeat to the likes of; Birmingham, Portsmouth, Fulham and Leicester and avoid defeat they did. 

Arsenal became the first team to go unbeaten all season since Preston North End accomplished it, and they then beat Nottingham Forest's 42-game record as they ended up on 49 unbeaten.
